Improv Game Workshop Activities

Count fast down from 8 to 1 while shaking each body limb as a group

In pairs, players mirror one another's movements.  

The objectives are to build group member relationships through verbal and nonverbal cue-sensing and effective adaptation to others' displayed emotions through entertaining and nonthreatening skits.

Players perform a scene based on an audience suggestion. At any point during the scene, the Host may blow a whistle and call for a “New Choice,” (or "Change!") at which point the previous line of dialogue and/or action is replaced with a new line of dialogue and/or action.

Pass around imaginary balls & other objects

Story is told one word or one sentence at a time

Partner A either repeats, rewords, or supports Partner B's statement before adding their own dialogue.

Remembered objects are used to 'port' between memories

Walk like a ... 86 year old man, CEO, olympic athlete, pregnant woman, etc. 
Walk as inspired by a... grandfather clock, ice cream truck, ocean wave... 

In pairs, create 30 second scenes with only these 4 words.

A quick, physical improv game that asks participants to embody an object as quickly as they can!
