This is designed to create a conversation that brings Core Values alive. This is great for a team that knows what values they stand for. Through this exercise they will celebrate their values in action and therefore be energized to magnify them further.

It will also help bring along anyone that is new so they can understand that the group really walks the talk

Make it Rhyme!

Even with established teams, it’s important to get people into the holiday mood and encourage creativity and collaboration.

Assign people into pairs or triads and each pair/triad needs to write one pair of rhyme for the music of a popular song. In this holiday-themed version, we'll ask participants to create a version of Jingle bells.

Whatever the occasion or song, it's a nice twist if they incorporate something in the lyrics that is related to your own company and culture.

Multitasking Myth

A short, two-round game shows the cost of switching tasks in under 15 minutes.

Participants complete the same data sets twice. First, they switch between tasks (multitasking). Then, they finish one task before starting the next (mono-tasking).

The change in speed and accuracy is clear and hard to deny. It works because people do not just hear that multitasking is inefficient, they feel it. The first round is stressful and slow. The second round is calm and fast.

My Favourite Manager

Participants work individually, assuming the roles of three different people and brainstorming their perceptions of three most favourite managers and three least favourite managers. Later, they work with a partner (and still later, in teams) to prepare a list of dos and don't-s for improving employees' perception of a manager's style.
