Teamwork Activities and Games

A rapid game of name learning with probably a lot of funny moments. Besides it teaches particiapants how to communicate and strategize in an effective way without being  explicit about these goals.

This exercise can be used as a warm-up for project and other planning processes. It can also be used in team building.

Use this method if you would like to show the participants the importance of collaboration, team strategy and team effectiveness.

Humans live in language. It defines what we do, how we do it, and why we do it. Language is the bedrock of our cultures and societies. As with fish in water, we go about our daily business without paying much attention to the language around us and how it influences us. Use Craig Raine's poem A Martian Sends a Postcard Home to spur creative thinking and encourage perspective shifting in a group. After a warm-up, you can then use this martian perspective to describe your product or service and gain new insights and ideas.

Arguments, presentations, strategies, or other plans are sent to other teams for deconstruction in order to find gaps or problems.

Purpose: People and Teams need to reflect as part of learning and innovation. Reflection can reveal strengths and areas for improvement. During the transition from one year to the next, we tend to focus on what's coming up in the new year.

Planning ahead and creating goals is important, but let's not forget to reflect on the previous year to learn from our experiences and get focused and deliberate about the future choices we make. After the Reflection, there is a gratitude and intention-setting option.

A fun, physical activity designed to help a group work on communication, problem solving, to understand roles of leader and follower within the group.

This is an active team building game and requires participants to move about a lot and so can be also used as an energiser.
