Materials

  • Paper and pencils, flipchart paper and markers for reporting back

Instructions

Before

Pre-Work Required: The tasks need to be divided relatively evenly. This may not be easily done before the workshop but some thought about how to divide can be thought about.


During

1. Groups of two or more are given a portion of the task to create a plan of action, then

2. Report back to the group,

3. Reflect on reports,

4. Make changes,

5. Reach agreement.

After

  • Probably best use would be when the small groups plan actions that they themselves will do -- planning actions for others to do can result in plans that don't have commitment behind them, and more time will be needed to reach agreement.
