Materials

    Instructions

    During

Discuss the need to understand the implications of a future event.

    1. Ask the group to select an image, trend idea or event, and write the word in the centre of the page of newsprint.
    2. Use brainstorming to generate (primary) consequences or implications directly associated with the event and write them down at the end of lines drawn outward from the centre.
    3. Continue brainstorming and listing, now consequences of the primary consequences.
    4. Identify consequences of the secondary events.

    After

Follow-Up Required: Display future's wheel and report to large group if applicable.

Facilitator will lead the group members to analyze these consequences, and discuss if there are some solutions to help avoid bad results.

    • Needs clarification and further explanation e.g. what does identifying consequences entail/ in what context would follow-up be required (display and report to large group). Analysing consequences - need some guidance on what this entails.
