If you haven't done so already, straightforwordly share your
diagnosis of the group's status: that they're avoiding the work like the
plague, using behavioral observations as evidence of your diagnosis (which is in keeping with Schwarz, as well). Ask for response. If they agree, what do they want to do about it? If they don't agree, ask them to explain how they believe the group is making progress.
