    Instructions

    During

Explain the purpose of the quick discussion and how to proceed.

There are three choices to do the discussion:

    • In two minutes each person will talk about the most important idea that has been expressed and what action the organization might take in relation to it. While one person talks, the other should just listen.
    • Instead of alternating as talkers and listeners, allow for four minutes of dialog. (each person has equal time of 2 minutes)
    • Combine the two choices above, spend one minute apiece talking and two minutes in dialog.

    After

Follow-Up Required: After finishing the discussion, the facilitator will lead the whole group to discuss which choice or action is the best option.

    • This allows very shy, introverted, or intimidated participants to have a safe place to share ideas, so it can draw on more wisdom. It may well need more than 4 minutes for each topic, however.
