Goal

To relax the atmosphere of a meeting, to set more friendly beginning and to spot out the importance of group/team work

Instructions

Before

Setting: a pen for every participant

Number of participants: 26-50

Pre-Work Required: None

Level of Difficulty to Facilitate (to be deleted during review): No specific skills required

During

Go around the group -- ask each participant in the meeting to make a rhythm /rhythmical noises with the pen and a table.  The next one should add something different, so that each participant is making a different noise. When the final participant comes a rhythm is created by combining all the different "noises". This exercise should not only be enjoyable for the participants, but also shows a result of good team work in casual way.

Usual or Expected Outcomes: Participants have fun and take the tension away

Potential pitfalls: Some participants can think of this exercise as not serious enough for a beginning of professional meeting
