Goal

This is part 1 in a 2-part workshop to develop solutions for technical problems or to identify business opportunities to be developed into business plans.

At the end of session 1 participants will have identified a set of problem statements for a given problem arena as a focus for their idea generation session in part 2.

Instructions

Before

Pre-Work Required: Experts need to be identified and invited to the workshop. The Problem / Opportunity owner should be assisted in preparing a presentation for the opening of the workshop.

Type of Facilitator-Client Relationship: High trust

Facilitator personality fit: The facilitator should be familiar with innovation and product development processes in technical areas.

Follow-Up Required: Homework is assigned, a second workshop is conducted and the business model developed and presented.
