A fun and creative icebreaker where teams or individuals pitch a fictional movie based on a random theme, encouraging quick thinking, collaboration, and plenty of laughter.

The Stinky Fish Canvas is a visual way to address the problems teams carry around: the longer we void the conversation, the stinkier our issues get.

Facilitate a team conversation about personal strengths:

• Ask participants to pick from a set of strength card, e.g. one strength each for everyone in the group (or more for small groups)

• People take turns to “give” a strength to another team member, share how/when they have seen the strength in the other person and say thank you

• Everyone will end up with a set of strengths provided by other team members and feel belonging and appreciation

Encourage creative thinking and getting to know each other better with a short round of 'time travel' questions to each of your participants.

Creativity is connecting things. If you are looking to give your creative mind a workout with a simple concept mash-up, look no further. The more you do this, the better you’ll get at one of the fundamental skills that lead to new ideas, combining elements. We've found a simple online tool from Dave Birss that helps you to define random objects that can form the basis of your creative combination.

The activity serves as a brief energiser during a workshop, and helps to get creativity flowing. At the end of this method, each team member will be a little more familiar with each other.

Everyone covers their camera and one person makes a statement that is true about themselves. If it is true for others on the call, they show their face to the camera as well. The initiation for the next prompt is passed to another person in the group.

In gallery view we say something that is true of you (e.g. I have a dog). Everyone that this is true for keeps their camera on; everyone that this is not true for covers their camera. Repeat with a new true statement from someone else in the group.

This is a well-known and simple ice-breaker, designed to get to know the other members of your team well, as well as practicing your own poker face!
