What's in a name?
What's in a name?
by Donna McQuaid.
Ice breaker for groups who don't know each other.
Additional info
Each person introduces themselves and explains something about their name.
Goal
The participants (and the moderator) learn each others names and a little about each person.
Instructions
Ask each person to introduce themselves. They should explain who they are, what their role is, what their background/experience level is and then they should tell the group something about their name. Prompts can be written on a wall or a computer. Some ideas include:
Who named you?
What does your name mean?
Do you like your name?
