A poem or song is used to enable participants to identify keywords relating to the workshop topic. Can be used at the beginning or end of a workshop.
To engage participants in exploring the workshop topic in a fun way, using a different form of engagement.
- Copy of poem for each subgroup
- Flipchart sheets, pens, highlighters
Find appropriate song or poem for the workshop topic. Print out a copy for each subgroup.
Explain to participants that they have to "translate" words of poem or song into the keywords of workshop topic.
Each subgroup works separately for 10 to 15 minutes.
Each subgroup presents what they have done.
Usually a lot of fun at the end of first working day
Story composed of subject keywords (for example for Project Management: stakeholders, objectives, goals, indicators, sources of verification, LFM, time, resources, donors, ...)
